1. What we collectAccount details, profile details you choose to add, your listings and ads, and basic usage data.

Account: full name, email address and a password (stored only in hashed form).
Profile: phone and WhatsApp numbers, state, LGA, serving status, batch and PPA. If you say you are a corps member, your NYSC call-up number and state code.
Content: listings, photos, descriptions, ratings, reports, and advertisements you submit.
Payments: payment references and amounts. Card and bank details are entered with Paystack and are not stored by CorperSpace.
Usage and device data: pages viewed, ad impressions and clicks, and information stored in your browser (such as a small record that stops the same ad being counted repeatedly).
Records of when you accepted our terms and which version.

2. How we use itTo run the marketplace, process payments, keep it safe, and improve and promote CorperSpace.

Create and secure your account, show your listings, and let buyers contact you.
Process payments and send service emails (verification, payment confirmation, listing reminders).
Prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our policies and respond to reports.
Report advert performance to advertisers, and show advertising.
Understand usage and improve the platform.

3. What other people can seeYour name, listings and public profile details are visible. Phone and PPA are shown only if you choose. Call-up number and state code are never shown.

Your name, general location, batch and listings appear on your listings and public seller page.
Your phone number appears only if you turn on "show my phone number publicly". Your WhatsApp number is used for the WhatsApp contact button. Your PPA appears only if you choose to show it.
Your NYSC call-up number and state code are private and are never shown to other users.
A hangout lister can hide their contact details and use a form link instead.
Do not put sensitive personal information in listings or photos.

4. Who we share it withService providers that help us run CorperSpace, advertising partners, and authorities where the law requires.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it with providers that process it for us, such as:

Paystack (payments), Cloudinary (image storage), our email provider, our hosting and database providers, and Google Safe Browsing (link checks, which receive the link only).
Advertising partners such as Google AdSense and, if enabled, Adsterra, which may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads. Advertisers see only aggregate numbers about their ads.
Authorities or other parties where required by law or to protect users and the platform.

Some of these providers may process data outside Nigeria.

5. Your choices and rightsYou can update your profile, control what is public, and ask about or request deletion of your data, subject to the law.

Edit your profile and privacy settings at any time on your profile page.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, and to stop certain uses, as the law allows. Some records (for example payments) may have to be kept.
You can limit cookies and similar technologies in your browser settings; ads may be less relevant as a result.

6. Security and retentionWe use reasonable safeguards and keep data only as long as needed.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, but no system is completely secure. Keep your password confidential.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our policies. [LEGAL REVIEW: add specific retention periods.]

7. Changes and contactWe may update this policy and will tell you about material changes.

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated appropriately, as described in the Terms of Service.
